Grow Together

The FarmTech Society (FTS) is an international non-profit industry association that unites and supports the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry, seeking to strengthen the sector through the development and implementation of resilient and future proof methods and technologies for  indoor growing.

Value Proposition

The FarmTech Society seeks to engage with key industry stakeholders, to develop training and education courses to address talent vacuums, thus serving the industry with quality credentials for graduates and facilitating certification that meets industry needs.

FTS encourages and promotes policies and regulations that fuel innovation, propel business, and drive international competition in sustainable economic activity; but also engages with policymakers and industry stakeholders on topics that matter today and will in the future.

FTS supports the establishment of meaningful industry standards that help the industry innovate and grow, providing the relevant network and  platforms for the indoor growing industry.

Plan Options

Member directory and information: Be listed in the FTS member directory with your company information along with a pitch describing your business,  including some pictures. The purpose is to provide an impression on the global FTS community and help introduce members to the wider audience as well as to each other.

Industry newsletter:  Global news about agtech innovation  and controlled environment agriculture, offering a solid and curated complement to regional news sources.

Industry insights & database login: The FTS will engage in the development of an annual industry report that will be made available to members. Additionally, FTS plans to build up a database of pre-competitive CEA technologies and knowledge, for and by members, to contribute to and benefit from crowd wisdom. (under development – membership committee to be formed)

Exhibitions and conferences: Members have access to reduced (discounted) participation fees in selected international industry exhibitions and conferences. For  some venues FTS will be an active participant with round table discussion and programming.

Education credentials: The FTS acknowledges and addresses the talent  gap that exists today in the CEA industry at large. In this regard, FTS and its network are uniquely positioned to help funnel educational content from experts and the industry, thus facilitating certified vocational educational training (VET). FTS aims to add value to coursework and content by setting up the standards of qualification of the European Credit System of ERASMUS+. (under development – membership committee to be formed)

Industry standards characterization: Shared and recognized standards are essential to ensure long term growth for our industry. The FTS, as a pre-competitive organization, aims to play a central role in the development of standards that will benefit all its stakeholders. (under development – membership committee to be formed)

Industry policy & advocacy: New technology and novel system developments also need to be supported by laws and regulations. This requires industry representation by consulting with lawmakers, as well as supporting the development of policies that affect our industry.  Partnering in public funding calls, providing advocacy for indoor growing systems and general industry representation are a primary focus of the FTS.
