International Partnership for a New Certificate for PRODUCE grown in CEA

A new open partnership to develop and implement a certification specifically for new ‘indoor’ high tech systems with natural and artificial lights. The partnership is open to all industry stakehoders small and large to help advance a comprehensive new certificate for innovative productions systems.

Indoor Ag-Con

The aim of the PONICS VET project is to create and deliver comprehensive training for the innovative profession of hydroponics technician. Alongside educational content, the course will offer formal certification compliant with the ECVET (the European credit system for VET) methodology. This will allow trainees’ certifications to be recognized within all institutions that are part of the ECVET system.

The VINE, a program hosted by UC ANR’s Office of Innovation and run by Farmhand Ventures, was created to  meet the growing need for practical, industry-driven innovation in California’s agrifood sector. The VINE prioritizes a “market pull” approach, which ensures that technology development is guided by actual needs from the field, rather than assumptions. This results in more relevant and impactful innovations that can directly improve efficiency, sustainability, and productivity in California agriculture.

WUR ReThink Food Challenge​

Wageningen University & Research launches the ReThink Food Challenge, an international competition where students develop innovative, sustainable, and circular food solutions on Earth inspired by space farming research. In interdisciplinary teams, participants tackle real-world problems in indoor farming or alternative proteins, guided by industry experts. The Challenge offers coaching, networking, and career opportunities, empowering students to make a positive impact while gaining entrepreneurial experience.
