Fifth Annual General Meeting — served as an excellent opportunity for our members to connect, discuss ideas and build new relationships. Two new executive board members, Stefanie Linzer & Rick Schneiders, elected earlier in the spring, were confirmed! With an updated strategic focus, the incoming board is now set to build a strong five-year roadmap to help mature the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) sector. Report from the Field Our Chair, RON MITCHELL, with over 30 years of experience as a grower and serial entrepreneur, addressed the “market correction” in Vertical Farming, noting the end of cheap, high-risk funding and fossil fuel energy. He emphasized the importance of nurturing innovation through challenging times and expressed confidence in successful entrepreneurs focused on profitable unit economics. Ron also highlighted the critical supportive role of the FTS network and invited more companies to engage more in upcoming FTS Knowledge Exchange Meetups.
