The FTS member consortium around vocational workforce development for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) have been working hard with all types of stakeholders to launch a highly interactive and learner oritented online course hosted on an advanced platform that supports learning on your own time, supported by audio and interactive visual gamified farm environment!
The PONICS VET EXPANDED training project will develop a new professional profile and online training courses under the ECVET – Whether you’re just starting out or looking to solidify your foundation, this interactive online course provides essential knowledge transfer and upskilling for operations and economics. Everyone is invited to achieve the important critical essentials and the overarching complexities before diving deeper into CEA.
HANDS-ON internship opportunities are awarded to interested course graduates, All traineeships are with established commercial operations!
FarmTech Society Strategic Outlook 2025 KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER, continues to be a unique cornerstone activity for our membership. With all the transitions that the sector undergoes, namely challenges in economic viabilty, FTS provides its membership with learings from other agriculture sectors, curating timely keynotes and panels discussions, provide the first international engagement repower with renewable integrations and an inclusive approach with conventional agriculture. In 2025, we aim to: Form an international committee to collaboratively test and develop standards with all stakeholders and Public-Private Funding Partnerships to be able to address the energy and labor challenges that requires a unified narrative beyond horticulture.
In collaboration with an international CEA Alliance, FTS will: Engage technology providers across the supply chain to address common challenges and compile applied learnings from entrepreneurs in conventional agriculture and other technology sectors by advocating for renewable energy infrastructure, digitalization, and fully integrated supply chains as essential components of the CEA system.
